My Bio (more detailed)
I am in a small town of southwest Virginia. I have been breeding yorkies for about 7-8yrs. My goal is to be the best breeder to my abilities. I learned quickly that a good mentor is key to a successful program and there have been many helpful ones. I breed both CKC and AKC lines striving for overall healthy pups. I use Animal Genetic testing and Embark. My AKC line have been DNA tested to ensure pedigree lineage.
My overall goal is to create a well-rounded pup not just a physical sound pup. I do early ENS using Puppy Culture hybrid program. Exposing pups to new sounds, smells, textures, body handling and situations. The goal is to breed a confident pup and decrease anxiety issues. I educate a lot to my potential adopters.
I require a video chat for all potential adopters. This gives you a chance to meet me, the pups, the parents and see the nursey. Choosing is never super early as it’s hard to pick a good fit when they are just potatoes with legs. My pups are raised indoors and have a dedicated nursery room, they are groomed multiple times for grooming exposure, we use a potty pad training system, begin crate training, pups are microchipped prior to leaving. My pups leave when they are ready. Some take longer than others. They stay till they are eating well (gaining) and do not have socialization delays or require further training. The adopters know their pup struggle areas and how to continue training. With lifetime breeder support as a perk they are added to the nursey page as soon as deposit is received.
Updates and videos are almost daily this gives families the ability to see training, feel connected and see pup’s confidence grow.
All pups come with a vet evaluation and appropriate vaccinations, adopters guide, puppy pack, lifetime breeder support, plus a few professional photos of their little one. I believe in supporting other breeders and recommend adopters to other programs that reflect the same breeding ethics.
